Sylvan sorc with a leopard is crazy good. Between his three attacks and tripping people and high dex he's a great frontline fighter. Leopard is great and all with it's 50 speed and only needing the dex buff, but smilodon benefits from animal growth spell and both dex and str buffs, and with 5 attacks instead of 3 outperforms the leopard ...
Before the beta I ran with a Smilodon companion. At higher levels it forgot its natural attacks and only had two attacks in a full attack action. Both were claw attacks, one at full BAB, one at -5 BAB. This is not how natural attacks for an animal companion should work.
